Flight to Yerevan.

From the airport you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel.
After breakfast, we head towards Sevan Lake, in the alpine wooded north-east of the country, to the blue pearl of Armenia and is one of the largest mountain lakes in the world (located about 1900m above sea level).
On the way we climb the mountain Hatis (2.537m). Wide views and even flanks promise a great ski tour. From the summit of Mount Hatis, we will see almost all the destinations of our journey. Afterwards drive to the valley of the flowers – to the city Aghveran, which is located in the area of the famous ski resort of Armenia.

Our goal for today is Mount Istok, which was named after a skier from which the mountain was first climbed. From here we will enjoy the great peaks of the Tsaghkunyaz mountain range.

1900-2851 m Distance: approx. 6 km Time: approx. 3 hrs.

Today we go a very nice ski trip on Mount Ara. This is a significant mountain for the Armenians, a mountain associated with a well-known legend. According to the legend, here on the top of the mountain we find the Armenian king Ara, who was in love with Queen Semiramis, whose form the mountain got. After skiing we continue to the north-west of the country, to the province of Shirak. On the way, we will visit beautiful examples of the architecture of the old Armenian Church from the 5th to the 7th centuries.

The ascent of the highest summit of today’s Armenia: Mount Aragats with its impressive four peaks. We climbed the summit of 4000 m and, in clear weather, gaze at the Ararat, the Ararat valley between Ararat and Aragats. Continue to the famous health resort Dilidshan, which is totally in the forests of Armenia.
Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Dilijan.

2200-4000 m Distance: approx. 12 km Time: approx. 7 hrs.

We will visit Sevanavanq (9th century) situated on the peninsula of Sevan Lake. Drive over the Selimpass to the south. Drive to the entrance of the Syunik region at Vorotan Pass. On the way we visit the only well-preserved caravanserai of Armenia, which is about 2350 m high. The summit of 2496 m is waiting for us. In front of us is a magnificent landscape with picturesque mountain chains and rocks, deep ravines, beautiful brooks and numerous churches.

2496-2700 m. Distance: approx. 5 km. Time: approx. 2,5 hrs.

Today we climb the beautiful mountain of the Prince, which rises very picturesque over a canyon. The path to the summit begins in a deep ravine which will open up great views of the mountains suspended in the sky.

Approx. 1800-3557 m Distance: approx. 6 km. Time: approx. 4 hrs.

Visit of the Noravank monastery at the end of the beautiful Amaghu gorge, which is characterized by its special exterior reliefs and its reddish façade with a sun that is barely distinguishable from its rocky surroundings. Today, we also explore the Ararat plain, where Noah has planted the first vine after descent of Mount Ararat. The Ararat level plays an important role in the winegrowing of the country.
Return to Yerevan.
